ENERGY | WHAT GIVES?

2022 ANNUAL ART SHOW:

Saturday, June 11, 2022 | 5:00 - 8:00PM

Energy is everywhere.

It’s neither created or destroyed — only transformed. Yet, most of the time we can’t actually see energy in action.

What we “see” is just the range of wavelengths visible to the human eye. The light we can see makes up less than one percent of one percent of the entire electromagnetic spectrum. In fact, humans are capable of seeing only 0.0035% of reality.

This show contemplates the energy present in seemingly empty spaces and ask what gives (or takes) energy.

What gives you energy throughout your day? What takes your energy?

Exhibit 2: Empty Spaces.

“Physicists John Wheeler and Richard Feynman calculated that there is enough such energy in the vacuum inside a single light bulb to boil all the world's oceans. The challenge, currently being investigated by several teams, is how to tap it.”
